Clinical Preceptorship

Pre-Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant student Internship:

As assigned by SWPC Administration, any of our certified medical assistants may precept a high school student from a contracted school. Due to the busy nature of our clinic, we have room for only one C.N.A. student per clinical session.

Bachelor of Science (BSN) or Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Student Internship:

A BSN or LPN student may wish to do an internship in outpatient primary care pediatrics. If so, you may be precepted by a SWPC Provider.

Postgraduate Nursing Students:

A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree student may wish to do their clinical rotation in pediatric primary care in a NP- run clinic in a rural town. If this is the setting that you are looking for, this may be a perfect site for you.

Documents that may be required, if available, on application:

State or Driver’s License
Recommendation/ Reference letters (2: one from a work supervisor and another from a teacher)
CPR certificate
OSHA certificate
Current immunizations
TB clearance
High School / GED diploma
Bachelor’s degree diploma (if applicable)
RN / LPN license (if applicable)
Other licenses/ certificates as applicable
