Warts can be an uncomfortable and sometimes embarrassing skin condition, but removing them is a simple and effective process. Our office offers non-invasive wart removal procedures suitable for all ages, using advanced cryotherapy techniques.
Cryotherapy is a non-invasive treatment method that uses extreme cold to freeze and remove warts. This process involves the application of a liquid cryogen, which destroys the wart tissue, allowing it to naturally fall off over time. We utilize two primary cryotherapy methods:
Histofreezer
Cryomega
The procedure involves applying the liquid cryogen directly to the wart. This extremely cold substance freezes the wart tissue, leading to its destruction. Over the next few days, the treated area may blister and the wart will eventually fall off, leaving behind healthy skin.
Effective for All Ages: Cryotherapy is safe and effective for both children and adults.
Quick Procedure: Each treatment session takes only a few minutes.
Non-Invasive: No surgical cutting or invasive techniques are involved.
Minimal Discomfort: The procedure causes minimal discomfort and requires little to no downtime.
Consultation: Our healthcare provider will assess the wart and determine the appropriate treatment plan.
Treatment: The liquid cryogen is applied to the wart using either Histofreezer or Cryomega.
Post-Treatment Care: After the procedure, you may experience some redness and blistering at the site. This is normal and indicates that the treatment is working. The wart will fall off within a few days to weeks.
Follow-Up: In some cases, multiple treatments may be necessary to completely remove the wart. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled as needed.
Keep the Area Clean and Dry: Maintain good hygiene to prevent infection.
Avoid Picking at the Blister: Let the blister and wart fall off naturally.
Protect the Area: Use a bandage if necessary to protect the treated area from irritation.
